Passenger step FGT 18.101-E-T-FP
With eco-friendly electric drive
The all-electric passenger step FGT 18.101-E-T-FP is a step with variable platform height that can be controlled from the platform.
All sound and other environmental emissions have been eliminated. Energy gain from large solar panels and wheel generators reduces charging cycles to a minimum.
The treads are agile with the two-part stair stringers parallelogram, so that the number of steps does not change when the height is adjusted and the steps are therefore always horizontal.
The stair treads are made of special non-slip aluminium profile and are designed for the prescribed load of 500 kg/m² are laid out.

Naturally eco-friendly
Airport operators everywhere are keen to re-engineer all their processes for maximum environmental friendliness. For passenger or crew/service steps, that means replacing diesel generators and most of the hydraulic components with electromechanical systems. This approach is cleaner and also allows the steps to be powered by renewable sources. Blumenbecker boarding steps run without fossil fuels or hydraulics and so greatly improve airports’ environmental footprint.
Always charged
High energy consumption used to drastically limit the operating times of boarding steps. Today, optimised controls and multiple means of energy generation allow Blumenbecker boarding steps to run for long periods of time. When batteries run low, they can recharge at charging stations or simply tap their solar panels and drive energy recovery technology during regular operations.
Easy to manoeuvre
Blumenbecker boarding steps are highly manoeuvrable and can effortlessly navigate to the perfect location, even in close quarters.
Quick to find
How much time is still being wasted searching for boarding steps? Luckily, those days are over thanks to our optional GSE Tracking system. With it, you’ll always know exactly where in the airport your steps happen to be. As an added bonus, you’ll also be told the battery’s current state of charge. That way, you always know how much energy your boarding steps still have left.
Two-in-one steps
Most airports use three different types of steps: passenger steps for normal passenger boarding, crew steps exclusively for crew or ground personnel and service steps for working on the aircraft itself. Each type of steps has very different safety requirements.
With Blumenbecker, you get steps that are suitable for maintenance workers, cabin crews or ground and service personnel. Airports can significantly trim back their inventories of steps while cutting maintenance and repair costs. Our two-in-one solution provides added flexibility in how and where you use the steps, too.
